Grow a SCOBY out of thin air!
Get or make a sourdough starter using whole wheat flour. Keep it in a jar loosely capped, on a cupboard shelf. Neglect it for a few weeks! After it smells vividly sour and/or alcoholic, add a volume of water equal to the starter. Mix it in. Neglect it further. Your SCOBY should form on the top of the dough sponge.
Transplant your Scoby into a tea-based feeder, make english muffins from the dough!
